Lifting Platforms - Work at Height

Image
When You Need to Work at Height It starts with an idea. A big project. The idea is a solution to a need. The need could be new headquarters for a company. When I drive towards the R24 freeway from my home I notice huge complexes that have been erected recently where there used to be empty spaces next to the highway. Some of them are warehouses and some factories. Nevertheless, all required roofs and some other structures or fittings much higher than ground level.  In cases like these you can find the right solution when you search online and come across a leading lifting platform company like the one I found. They had the following to say:  “So, you need to work at height, but you need a platform or something to work on because it is out of reach. The usual or obvious choice that comes to mind is to build a scaffold as your working platform.   To hire scaffolding can be quite costly but it comes with limitations and can be expensive and time-consuming to put into place. There is anoth

Rent a Cherry Picker/Lifting Platform

Rent a Cherry Picker/Lifting Platform Rent a lifting platform, also known as a cherry picker, from SA Platforms in Vanderbijlpark and you get exceptional service.  SA Platforms have been renting out cherry pickers since 2013 . That's when I first wrote about them: "There are many types of cherry picker machines, some of which are trailer mounted and driven by diesel motors or electric or even both. To get a better idea of some of the most popular machines you can go to http://www.saplatforms.co.za to have a look. The company that specializes in renting or selling these machines called cherry pickers is SA Platforms." On September 02, 2015 , I wrote the following: SA Platforms now have a mobile responsive website at www.saplatforms.co.za . They continue doing a fantastic job of renting or selling cherry pickers and mobile lifting platforms of various configurations to companies needing these machines. They also provide excellent training to operators of these machines.

About My Blog Called New Dimensions

Image
About My Blog Called New Dimensions I kicked off my first Blogger post on 25 February 2013 with " Is your switchgear getting old? " This was, of course, not my first blog post ever and it was very short, but it was a start. One of my first blog posts was on a platform called Typepad . I don't know why I fancied Typepad at the time. I wrote about ideas being seeds . “Ideas are like seeds that soar across the highways of time seeking the right landing place - they enter by way of silence and have the ability to change your life. Gently they alight on receptive minds and spread their influence in fertile soil. The right attitude causes them to bloom resulting in an aha moment. Combined with imagination infinite possibilities result. Constant meditation adds nourishment to the process causing expansion and assimilation. There are huge benefits to the seeking soul which attracts great ideas like a magnet. If, however, these precious seeds are neglected, they soon take flight

Lesotho Trip Book Extract

Image
Extract from my book on our Lesotho trip. When I think about how we were able to go from village to village, community to community to minister and always meet up with a lot of people, then I now realize that Seth must have notified everyone in advance of our plans (his plans). No telephones or cell phones around those days so he must have journeyed all over the place in advance to organize everything. That was a masterpiece all on its own those days. The places we ministered at were spread out all over the countryside and involved a lot of hiking across rough terrain. Seth did it all so that us city folks could just pitch up and minister without a hitch. Our first ministry our was around the vicinity of our base camp which was quite hilly - up and down the mountain side - looking for shepherd boys and locals to minister to. Our leader, Pastor Mark carried a loud hailer. He would speak into it and his voice was carried great distances to people on the hills. Then we would walk or cli

How we ended up at Frasers

Image
On 1 December 1973 I married the love of my life, Maggie. We decided to go away for the weekend and came home afterwards to discover that my mother had suffered a stroke. My first son made his appearance the following year – we called him Mark. After that we moved to Cape Town where my second son, Michael was born. I thought Cape Town was going to be a fantastic place to live and work in but after two years we moved back to Johannesburg. Fortunately, a company that supplied coal crushing machines and conveyor belts to the mines employed me and I was rewarded with a salary increase, back pay and a December bonus that year. I bought a white Ford Cortina because we needed a car. Life seemed very good but in January the following year my supervisor walked into my office and casually told me that I was being retrenched. I had two months to find another job and leave. I recently Googled my old company and discovered that they had been taken over by a bigger UK-based company. I was just consi

I Had a Dream

Image
Last Night I had a Dream The Good Bible says that in the last days old men will dream dreams. Just mentioning that to sketch a better picture about the subject of dreams I recall a dream that Jacob had. “And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven; and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. And behold, the LORD stood beside him, and said: 'I am the LORD, the God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac.” Wikipedia . “Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more. We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it." His brothers said to him, "Do you intend to reign over us?” Bible Gateway . “Soon after the visit by the Magi, an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream telling him to flee to Egypt with Mary and the infant Jesus since King Herod would seek the c
